Canton Express was established in 1998 and is a family run business with the Head Chef having more than 20 years experience.

All the chefs hold the food and safety hygeine certificate that is required by law. Recently the Food Standards Agency have introduced "Safer Food, Better Business, for small catering businesses", to help them comply with the new regulations that have been introduced. The manager of Canton Express has attended the "Safer Food, Better Business" training course and has passed on the techniques to all the staff.

Food Hygiene and Standards

From April 2007 a new internet scheme will exist which allows the public to look at the results of food hygiene inspections in the county. There are several reasons why Northamptonshire Councils have decided to introduce this scheme:

- The website gives the public a chance to make informed choices about where to buy and eat food.

- Making information on inspections public will encourage food businesses to improve hygiene standards.
